
Taylor Aaron Shaw (LAZERCHEF) is a former chef and art professor turned full-time muralist. He earned his MFA from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia and previously taught art at Valdosta State University. Now he travels the country painting large-scale murals, creating bold, colorful work inspired by local stories, places, and communities. His practice blends strong graphic design, playful geometry, and a love of public spaces to turn walls into shared landmarks.

He was the owner-operator of Austin Daily Press in Austin, Texas, earned the title of 4× ESPN College Gameday “Chef of the Town” for The Place in Athens, Georgia, and holds the record for the World’s Largest Hushpuppy at Dewey Destin’s Seafood in Destin, Florida. Shaw’s culinary work blends craft, spectacle, and community—approaching food with the same creativity, storytelling, and sense of place that defines his art practice.
